The Challenge

Repair shops and technical services lose hours every day on manual work: repair tracking on paper, quotes left unapproved, uncontrolled inventory, supplier invoices typed in by hand and no visibility into the health of the business. Sattotal was born to digitize and automate all of that, so technicians can focus on what they do best: repair.

My Role

As founder and lead developer, I'm responsible for the entire product lifecycle:

• Architecture & Development: I designed and built the entire platform from scratch with Next.js: a multi-tenant architecture, installable as an app on phones, tablets and desktops, and ready for 26 languages and the tax rules and legal documents of 60 countries.
• Artificial Intelligence: An AI assistant that answers natural-language questions about repairs, customers and billing; automatic reading of supplier invoices and RMA quotes from a PDF or photo, always with human review; and a daily report with prioritized recommendations.
• Repair Lifecycle: A complete flow of intake, diagnosis, quote, customer approval, repair, delivery note, invoice, payment and warranty. Includes RMA management, on-site visits with signed work reports, customer sign-up by QR code and vehicle records filled from a photo of the registration document.
• POS, Invoicing & Inventory: POS and invoicing available in 29 countries, multi-warehouse inventory with barcodes and supplier management, and quotes and documents sent over WhatsApp with delivery and read status.
• Business Analytics: Sales dashboard, technician rankings, quarterly tax estimates and a shop health score from 1 to 5 stars calculated from the shop's own KPIs.

Business Model

I designed a SaaS model with plans from Free to Enterprise (up to 20 technicians), monthly or annual billing and a referral program that lowers the fee for every shop that joins. Sattotal is in production, with weekly updates.

Technical Architecture

The platform is built with Next.js and React for the frontend, MongoDB for the database, Clerk for authentication, S3 storage for documents and photos, AI model integration for the assistant and document extraction, and Docker for deployment. All orchestrated with CI/CD through Jenkins, with encryption in transit, daily backups and GDPR compliance.
